- ➤Made of Fiberglass - Our harman p68 gasket is made with high temperature texturized fiberglass yarn, round braid structure with a medium-high density. It has the main properties of temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and high strength. They’re flexible and will conform to uneven surfaces, so can help stoves to provide an airtight seal when the door is closed.
- ➤High Temperature Resistance - This Harman door and ash pan gasket 1/2" x 10ft 1-00-00888-10 rope will not burn, will withstand continuous exposure to temperatures of 1000F/520C. Fibreglass is a very heat resistant material, which makes it perfect for use in stoves.
- ➤To Install A Gasket - (1) Lay the start of the gasket at the middle of one side of the door. (2) Gently lay the remaining length of the gasket into the channel around the stove. Don’t pull at or push on the rope as it is laid on the stove.(3) Press the rope gently into the door as it is laid. (3) Once the end of the gasket meets the start, lightly squash the end up against the start of the rope so that a tight seal is provided.
